Q-1: What is DRY-B-LOTM?
A-1: DRY-B-LO is the first Professionally Installed (introduced in 1993) deck drain system engineered, designed and patented for the specific purpose of converting wet, unusable space below raised decks to attractive, clean and dry outdoor living areas.
Q-2: What is DRY-B-LO made of?
A-2: DRY-B-LO is an all aluminum system professionally installed under raised decks that will never rust. The baked-on finish means you will never have to worry about repainting.
Q-3: Does DRY-B-LO come in different colors?
A-3: Yes. DRY-B-LO comes in pearl white and two earth tone colors: clay and almond.
Q-4: Will chemical wood stains or treatments damage DRY-B-LO?
A-4: No. Properly used off-the-shelf wood stains and waterproofing products have no adverse effects on DRY-B-LO.
Q-5: How much does DRY-B-LO cost?
A-5: DRY-B-LO systems must be priced on an individual basis. However, telephone estimates are available through your local DRY-B-LO Franchise.
Q-6: Can I buy the materials and install DRY-B-LO myself? Or can my contractor do it?
A-6: In order to maintain the highest level of quality control and in order to offer the DRY-B-LO Limited Lifetime Warranties, all DRY-B-LO systems are installed exclusively by trained DRY-B-LO technicians. Each technician completes a rigorous, 6-day Certification Course at our National Training Center in Atlanta, GA prior to installing a system.
Q-7: What happens to the leaves and debris that fall through the cracks of the deck?
A-7: DRY-B-LO was engineered to solve this problem. The unique, rounded shape of the channels causes debris to settle into the lowest point of the channel, the bottom-center. Likewise, the flow of rainwater concentrates here and carries the debris out of the ceiling in natural fashion. Although the ceiling is engineered to be maintenance free, some small sedimentation may accumulate in the six-inch front gutter. This gutter is open and easily accessible for occasional rinsing with a garden hose.
Q-8: Do DRY-B-LO systems come with a warranty?
A-8: Yes. Each installed system provides the homeowner with two industry leading warranties. One is a service warranty which protects you against leaks and debris accumulation for the life of the original deck. The second one is a 15 year DRY-B-LO product warranty on the aluminum channels of your system.
Q-9: Do you have an office in my city yet?
A-9: Click on our location map for existing offices. Please contact our main office for information on soon-to-be-opened territories or to find out when an office will be opening in your area.
Q-10: How long will the installation take?
A-10: Most installations take from one to three days. Depending on the size and complexities of the deck, the installation may take longer.
Q-11: How soon can you install DRY-B-LO on our deck?
A-11: Most schedules allow for the installation to be completed within thirty days. This can vary but your local DRY-B-LO Representative will discuss this with you during the on-site quote.
Q-12: Can the area under the deck be enclosed for a screened porch, or have ceiling fans, lights, swings, hanging plants, etc. attached?
A-12: Yes. All DRY-B-LO systems are installed in such a manner as to easily accommodate construction of screened porches, installation of lights and ceiling fans, and are able to accommodate the re-attachment of swings and hanging plants below your raised deck.
Q-13: Am I required to supply gutters and downspouts? Or do I have to pay an additional cost for them?
A-13: No. Unlike do-it-yourself products, each DRY-B-LO System includes a full perimeter of gutters with downspouts included in the price of the system.
Q-14: Where I live we get lots of ice and snow in the winter months. Can this system withstand heavy ice/snow loads and the melting/re-freezing of ice and snow?
A-14: Yes. Our system was carefully engineered to provide safe support of heavy ice/snow loads.
Q-15: Where can I see DRY-B-LO in my area?
A-15: DRY-B-LO Franchisees often participate in local Home and Garden Shows.
